The Matterport Pro3 rents for $250 per day (local pickup in the SF Bay Area only), $750 per week, or $2,000 per month, plus sales tax. Add-ons are per rental period: tripod $75, iPad with capture app $100, extra battery $50 (beyond the two included). You’ll also need a photo ID and a COI, refundable deposit, or damage waiver.

Do I need a Matterport subscription to use the rental?

You can upload scans to your own Matterport account, or we can host them for you — the booking form asks which you prefer, and hosting is quoted with your booking.

Can the Pro3 scan outdoors?

Yes. The Pro3 uses LiDAR with a 100-meter range and captures exteriors, courtyards, and large open spaces that the Pro2 cannot.

Is training included?

Training is not included with rentals. If you’re new to the Pro3, you can add a training session for $200 per hour when you book.

What about insurance?

Every rental needs a valid photo ID plus one form of coverage: a current Certificate of Insurance (COI) listing Thomas Sparks as certificate holder and loss payee and covering the equipment’s full replacement value, a $500 refundable deposit held on your card, or a damage waiver (15% of the rental fee, $50 minimum) that covers accidental damage and reported theft after a deductible. With a COI, no deposit is required. We confirm coverage before pickup or shipment.
